Alvin’s signature was reimagined to improve legibility while preserving its personal, hand-drawn character. The aim was to refine it into a mark that could work consistently across digital applications while still feeling authentic to who he was.
The visual language was informed by Alvin’s iconic guitar, Big Red, which influenced a bold but controlled colour palette that reflects the energy and presence of his performances.
The website was designed as a living archive, bringing together decades of material into a structured, usable system. The challenge was not just to present content, but to curate and organise it in a way that makes it easy for fans to explore, filter, and reconnect with key moments from his career. Turning the site into an active resource that can scale naturally over time, keeping his legacy accessible as new material is added.
Across the site, design decisions were kept intentionally restrained to support clarity and respect for the content. Clean layouts and strong hierarchy guide users through the archive, with subtle details allowing the story to unfold naturally. The result is a system that feels easy to use, but still carries the weight of Alvin’s legacy.
The final design was met with heartfelt recognition from Alvin’s family and fans, who saw it as a true reflection of who he was. It captured his dedication to excellence and celebrated his incredible legacy in a way that felt both modern and timeless.
